    While I am not a Security Suite fan from any vendor, it would seem to be saying the same thing about Norton.

    CONS
    Real-time antispyware allows low-risk spyware until reconfigured. Optional privacy and parental control features less flexible and powerful than previously. Antispam misses too much.

    Most review sites are nothing more than marketing propoganda based on advertising revenue and not necessarily technical attributes.

    That magazine is the best example of what advertising $ buys.
    Isn't that author the guy that rated antispyware programs on a testbed of 24 files?

    Because these guys pay for these reviews it seems. Both Symantec's and ZA's consumer solutions are horribly bloated and have been for some years now.

    I would much prefer that they compare the solutions from smaller companies like FRISK, ESET, Kaspersky Lab also who have a record for reacting to emerging threats quite a bit faster. In particular FRISK who in recent months have a completely reworked interface but more importantly under the hood a new engine. FRISK's detection has improved so dramatically with !Maximus heuristics, generic support for runtime packers and an innovative (previously unheard of) approach to detecting new threats by utilizing the online services of Virustotal and Jotti's online scanners by means of an automated bot or 'virtual employee' he is referred to. Surely these technologies are worth more review time then a reworked GUI?

    Come one PCMAG. Get a grip.
