Update Failure?

    Has the address for updates changed?
    Using AVG-AS 7.5 and I get a connection error "Failed to connect to server update.ewido.net."

    I'm getting the same message while trying to use the manual updater within the program. Maybe the servers are down.

    I think you're right.
    Tried the manual definitions installer at the website and that link was dead.

    I'm still using Ewido Anti-Spyware 4.0 and up until last night, updates had been working fine. Today, "Error: Failed to connect to server". I wonder if the server is temporarily down or if the update facility has been stopped for Ewido AS 4.0?

    I think it's just a temporary server problem - I hope. Here's what I did: First I tried to download the full signature installer from the download page at ewido.net, but once it was downloaded, WIndows told me that it was corrupt. Then I used FIrefox and downloaded the installer for the last 2-3 days signatures. It worked and they installed. Then I tried to update from the program itself and received 1 update. Later, I tried again and received a message that the server was not ready to serve.

    It may be on and off again temporarily. I suppose they will get it stable soon.

    Yep, looks like the server is back up and running again - manual update successful. Ewido 4.0 can still get updates!! Yeee ha!!

    Yep.
    AVG AS update is working again here too.

    I can't update at 9:30 PM Eastern (New York) time. I get the following error:

    "Error: Wrong Answer HTTP/1.0 500 Internal Server Error"

    I've been trying all evening

    If there is an emergency, try to download the manual update installer:
    http://www.ewido.net/en/download/updates/

    If not, it's probably the server and should work fine later. I heard that some folks were having trouble reaching Wilders and CastleCops today too, because of some service that both forums use. Weirdness abounds today. Le's hope it ends tomorrow.

    Today I cannot update using the program or the website download. The server times out for all update sources. Most frustrating!!!
