    What might this be:

    Anti-Stealth technology is enabled.
Scan complete, clean as I was sure it would be. Bug? Wont let me delete the log from the scan, it says "Error deleting NDL479.DAT.Retry?

Probably a bug. While performing a C-scan, this one came up first (see pic):

Help file: Use Anti-Stealth technology - if enabled, NOD32 will detect rootkits that uses "stealth" technique to hide away from other programs. ;)

No problem for me deleting the scan Log entry.

Reboot, and it let me delete. Also followed up scan with one from Ewido, oops, AVG, and nothing found. All I know is some strong improvements by Eset, that actually work. The firwall will be what defines them for the future. But if you have not jumped on the bandwagon, you need to. I am really impressed with what they are doing and the direction they are going.

..and the scan was aborted at the spot - far from ready. See pic:

I disagree. Mine has gone flawlessly. I am really impressed with the way it re-installed over the old one and activated the needed settings. It is almost like Blackspears was included in the download.:)

thats coming after 2.7 and will still be made. 2.7 is the first version to be compatible with vista.

    Working good in Vista 5840.

Oh.. one issue: in "Windows Security Center" NOD32 isn't monitored as a firewall.

Ermmm, thats because it's not a firewall. It's an antivirus

    Hi all,

Installed the Beta about 5 minutes ago...noticed my username & password were changed to the Beta username & p'word.

Anyone else have this happen (I note only one other post mentions this).

    Cheers.

    gerardwil,

Thanks for the quick response...if its a normal occurrence then I've got nothing to be concerned over :)

I've changed the username & p'word as well.

    Cheers.

Probably it has been delayed to sometime next year. Version 2.7 still offers state-of-the-art protection against all kinds of malware plus Windows Vista compatibility. :)

At least the heuristic have been improved from what I see. I accessed a site and Nod32 2.7 warned me that <<Probably>> is infected with a variant of...I saved the file on Desktop (after I put it into quarantine) and uploaded it to virustotal.com. None of those antiviruses detected any virus in the file. Not even Nod32 2.5. So the only think that remains is to congratulate the whole ESET team. An excellent job :).

I tried to run full system scan of my local HDD. Don't know why but NOD32 on-demand scanner simply disappear and is closed in the middle of the scan. Bug? Anyone else experienced this?

Could you confirm that you left the "Use current settings" check-box ticked? Your current username/password would have been preserved then.

I also left the check-box ticked ticked also when installing 2.7 & the beta username & p'word appeared.
