On the next update could you add: www.searchtraffic.com to the sites that I can block?

    Hello,
I would also like to request that this be added to the definitions of spywareblaster. It shows up on this error page, http://404.cjb.net/ ....

Name of activex thingy: CJB Management inc.'s (Search)....

    Thanks In Advance!

    AlphaSurfer....

popupsponsor.com is the main culprit, the CJB website does not have an active X control on it but the pop ups have, as I did not get a alert for any active X on the page with my Active X alert system, but I disabled pop-up blocking and Active X controls also poped up with media.fastclick.com and popupsponsor.com

Thanks for the reports everyone! It seems like that's a new SearchWWW variant. :)

    Best regards,

    Doubleclick

Even though Spyblaster shows Doubleclick cookie as being block, it continues to get through. Why is that?

    Hi auggief,

    Is your browser IE6 ?

I'm asking because that is the only browser SpywareBlaster's cookie protection works for.

    Regards,

    Pieter

When I bring up this site it says I have 0 messages. However when I put auggief into search I found your reply. Why is that?

I can answer the second one. :)
The zero indicates the number of P(rivate)M(essages) you have on the forum. It doesn't give you the number of replies you had.

    Pieter

I guess what you are telling me is to check for email reply so I will know I have a reply. Besides I have diffculty finding my original post. Thanks for the help. I have talked to a lot of people who say the "doubleclick cookie" is a regular when they run Adware or Spybot. I don't know if they use Spyblaster.

    Hi auggief,

You should read this thread: http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=5326 about how to control cookies in IE6

    I know I learned a lot there. :)

Hold on to that cookie though. Javacool may want to have a look as to how it slipped through. There are four Doubleclick cookies in SpywareBlasters database, but there might be more.

    Regards,

    Pieter

I changed my settings to block third party cookies and prompt for first party cookies.
This is the version of doubleclick cookie that I get:
    c:\windows\cookies\computer@doubleclick[1].txt
