The download does not start at all, the ftp server is extremely slow to load and causes firefox.exe to consume 100% of CPU time.

I get the same date on the 'About Moxilla Firefox' window (20061010) as was for RC3....is that correct?

Select a download location which is unlikely to be affected by high amounts of traffic, nearest to where you are. Post 11 showcases lots of good mirrors. I'm generally a bit lazy myself to even bother looking at alternative download mirrors sometimes...

Not necessarily. If Mozilla fixed the lastest security holes and bugs of FF 2.0 RC3 in FF 2.0 Final, you have a different version. :)

    this forum is biased!
is it any different to 1.5 ?

when i go to their site, it says 1.5 is the latest version that is released.

    anyway,

any new features because the new internet explorer is gooood and a massive improvment on their previous version, i prefer the new IE than the 1.5 firefox, so i wonder whats new in the 2.0, anything good to sway me over to it from IE 7 ?:cautious:

    I'm not that impressed.

    It's mostly about speed here.

I'm on dialup. And the speed difference between browsers is more evident on dialup.

So here Opera is still king.

Looks like they have one more meeting to go. :D Firefox2/StatusMeetings/2006-10-24

The latest Version Two I have is 1.8.20061.1023. Right click on firefox.exe in program files to get the version number.
