My brother bought a new computer couple of month ago and he has Panda as AV.
Nevertheless he keeps getting Spyware all the time.Anyone out there who also has Panda can tell me if he needs to install a real time antispyware like Ewido or Spysweeper?

    Thanks

i think panda falls into the category of average on all counts,

people have spoken about spyware terminator, which is good apparently and the best thing, its FREE. (i think) :D

Well i have excellent opinions about Panda's anti-spyware capabilities. At least for pre-2007 product line. Spyware removal and detection was really a super cool thing. Panda notified me about the nastie and recommended rebot to clean up the mess. After i did that everything returned back to normal. Everything was cleaned and restored. I don't know if it's the same now but it certanly was back then.

In my opinion he may want to look into superantispyware or ad-aware.He may want to also look into a different anti-virus perhaps Nod32 or bitdefender.

i dont think their antivirus is that bad, even spyware i would say is 'average'.

my concern with panda would be their firewall, if it even exists. :doubt:

Thanks all of you for feedback. As Panda was included as a package when he bought the computer, I don't think he is willing to change AV right now.

But I will convince him to install BoClean or some other Antispyware.:p
