I"ve just seen NOD32 had 6 updates today. Is this a new record?

Yep, everytime I updated the website a new update had been released

Someone whispered in my ear that all new variants of Stration should now be detected heuristically.

Anyway...good news

 

I heard a rumour (not a whisper ) that detection of new gromozon rootkit variants has improved dramatically too.

 

6 in a day isn't a record, I think 7 is.. but it was a long time ago since I ran the stats....

 

Ahhh but the whisper came from "The Insider", so the source is good

As for the Stration variants just take look on virusradar.com - you can even seen when the nasty started to spread. Top 10 is almost filled by with Strations. And to place 30 there are further 15 variants...
