I have searched the forums for two days and have tried everything that I could find but no love thus far.

I am running TI server 9.1 (build 3,633) with the Universal Restore option installed.

I took an Image from a Windows server with dynamic disk that was configured in a software RAID 1. The image resides on a W2k3 file server. I have created a rescue boot disk.
I want to image another server (dissimilar hardware) with this image to use for a dev server.
When I boot the dev server with the TI boot disk and choose the TI server with UR and then choose the recovery option; i choose to restore entire disk; TI analyzes my partition and the I get the following error.

    Partition Error

The selected partition contains the following error: File system corrupt.

There are no corruption on this disk and I have attempted restore on multiple disks. I have also taken fresh source images and verified the image...no problems.

I have gone through with the restore despite the error and then try to boot into Windows but get an inaccessible boot device...bsod stop error.

I have tried to rebuild the MBR at this point but continue to get the same error.

    Any ideaso_O?

    I can use the assistance!

    TIA-

    Jeff

Dynamic disks are not supported. I have heard there are 3rd party utilities that will convert a dynamic disk to basic. I have not tried it so test at your own risk.

Really? Wow! I was under the impression that TI 9.1 does support Dynamic Disks.

Is it just the Universal Restore that is not supported when restoring Dynamic Disks?

Will I be able to use the image I took to restore the original server in the event of an emergency or am I SOL?

    Anyone?

I would really like to know if I can restore my images taken from dynamic disks back to the original hardware. If not I need a new disaster recovery solution.

Brand new to TI so take this for what it is worth...

The TI9 Manual on page 19 says...
    3. Acronis Universal Restore option is not available when restoring dynamic disks and volumes.

    On Page 48 it says...
The Acronis Universal Restore option does not work if the image contains dynamic disks and volumes.

It looks like TI9 does support dynamic disks, but not when using Universal Restore.
