My 'subscription code' for F-secure Security 2006 works in the new version. This may mean possible free upgrade for v2006. Just download the Trial version and add your code during installation. As for older versions I have no clue.

I have ONLY noticed that the installation is 'smarter and smoother' than previous versions, and it's a lighter IMO than v2006. Due to time issues I have not investigated whether OLD incompatiblities/conflicts have been resolved. :D

thanks i might try it soon. since i have a current f-secure internet security license.

because i might as well try it to see if its lighter.

i will probably still get the stuff in my signature when my subscription runs out, but i might as well use the newer f-secure for now.

do you have to uninstall f-secure internet security 2006 first? or can you install over the top?

oops! I installed the F-secure IS 2007 fresh into a PC (after clean installation of Windows XP in one of my 'test' system). I may recommend that you uninstall older version(s) and clean your PC before using the new version, but it will be better to do what F-secure support or F-secure employees say. :D

i am serious the tester. its about the same size as the fsis2006 installer.
i will try it and use it in till the license runs out. then depends on how it runs depends on what i use next.

I can't vouch for the 2007 version, but I can tell you from my experience that FSAVCS 6.02 ran much lighter on my system than FSIS 2006. That's with all modules for FSAVCS installed, parental control not installed for FSIS.
