OS Selector very slow to start

OS selector is painfully slow to start and respond to any keyboard/mouse activity.
I can double click a selected OS and it can take 10 secs or more to do anything. I have noticed that hard disk light and floppy drive light are constantly on while I am waiting for Acronis to eventually start and show me the boot options. I am surprised however, that when I set an OS with a password, the password box comes up instantly and responds quickly to the keyboard, i.e. no delay.
I have tried just about every resolution ofr the acronis boot menu but makes no difference. Can anyone advise.

My setup is :-
DD suite 10 with latest 2117 build
ps2 mouse and ps2 keyboard (Microsoft wireleless)
Gigabyte 965P-DS3 with Duo 6300
2 Gig Ram
2 x Sata Drives
1 DVD-RW and 1 DVD Rom on the single ide .

Iget a delay of upto 20 seconds before the menu appears, just a box in middle of screen saying processing.... its really annoying, especially wnen it never happened with DDS 9!!!

 

If you don't need to boot from cd :
In Options >> Startup Options >> check "Do not load CD-ROM Drivers"

Acronis OS Selector will boot very fast .
