    Hi,

I am a long-suffering McAfee user and just downloaded the trial version of NOD32. The problem is that I don't know whether its working correctly as there are no bugs whereas with McAfee there are always some, most often picked up by firewall (Agnitum Outpost). Is there a way of testing it to see if everything is working ?

    Cheers

    Pete

You do understand the meanings of the different modules in NOD32 (IMON and AMON most importantly)?

You can test your antivirus with this harmless test file. Try first with IMON enabled and see if you get a warning window labeled with "IMON - Internet Monitor", then disable it and try again. You should then get a warning from AMON (if it is enabled).

Put both back on again after testing. And if you got a warning from both, your computer is safe - NOD32 is protecting it.

    Thanks,

I've run through the configure thread so all should be well. I'll try the tests as suggested by Kjempen.

    Cheers

You have removed your previous AV (McAfee) prior to installing NOD32 ? ? ?
    It is really important.
