Looks interesting! Has anyone out there compared this to PG or SSMo_O?

I was going to ask just same question as I really like SSM.

As discussed some time before in another thread, the GUI of the Protection module looks very similar to PG, which is undesirable. This will lead people into thinking that the GUI is a copycat of PG. It is better to have a new style.

Baldrick, aigle: Just try it please, you will get a right verdict. You can install and uninstall it easily in normal mode.(no safe mode rebooting needed)

VaMPiRiC_CRoW, aigle:Thanks for your suggestion about GUI, we will improve the GUI to the best of our ability.

Chubb: Thanks for your suggestion, generally speaking all HIPS software has similar functions and concept, so the GUI looks similar too. Anyhow we have made much changes on this version. We have combine the execution list into the program rules, and remove the protection privileges in the setting panel, but don't worry, all programs in the rule list are protected. And you will see we have improved many other functions too if you try it.

Does anybody can give us more feedback?

    Best regards,

Have been using this program off and on since it first came out in Beta this spring. Showed great promise from the beginning, but like with any new software, had its share of bugs. Needed time to work these out. With this new release, it appears he's done it. Plan on using it full time as one of my trusted security programs. Like the man said.........give a try!

$30 for a "lifetime license?" Unconditional lifetime licenses make me nervous. I just don't consider them to be a good business model for the long-term. It rather reminds me of the "unlimited bandwidth" offers that I have seen in advertisements by web hosts -- most of which went belly-up.

Also, I do hope that ProSecurity is (or will be) more than a 1-man operation.

However, this HIPS does look promising & I shall definitely take a serious look at it when the license for my current HIPS comes up for renewal.

I have to admit that I lost my interest since SSM has been improved a lot. I also do not really like the GUI anymore, but the last time I tested this app, it seemed quite nice, it does have potential. ;)
