    Hi,

I have at one Sony Laptop PIV with 512 MB in RAM, Windows PRO SP-2. I am looking at good AV and have two candidates: BitDefender 9 and Symantec AV Coroprate, with my Company have access at this AV. I am looking between both alternatives:

1.- Light AV, less impact in my system.
2.- Good AV detection, better AV.

Do you would give me your comments about these AV or experience, suggest ?

    Thank you,

Both will work well. Try both and use the one you like more.

Bitdefender, but only b/c i've hard problems with norton resource usage in the past. Plus norton has missed a bunch of viruses on my pc in the past.

BitDefender. Reaction times, proactivity and virus lab efficiency.
Sure it's not as great in tests but real world situations played in its favor many times. Which i can't exactly say for Norton...
Still, they are both very good solutions.

Ok, like understand that BitDefender would take less resources vs Symantec right ? I tried F-secure but had high impcat in system performance was very slow my Laptop. I should take the less Impact AV over rate detection

You should try both, both are good AVs, however I think BD have better heuristics. :D:)
