The reason I ask is because my firewall is always sending this popup that ewido is trying to change my network settings. I am sure it's ok to allow it, rite?, I have been allowing it, but I am curious what it means if anyone can please tell me, and how can I set it to allow without permission :D

The guard is checking whether any bug has placed some redirections of our webadress in there. This ensures that no threat can redirect the downloads of the update to another server and damage our database or prevent you from being updated.

    Regards,

Btw you should probably think about updating to ewido anti-spyware 4.0 since you're using ewido 3.5 (the old version)

    Thanks vinzenz,
Is there anything that the new version covers that the old version doesn't?
just curiuos, I will probably update again, I switched back to the old version because I was used to it and seem to like it :D but I'll probably update anyway.
just wondering if they find and remove the same things.
    Thanks again!
