Free WinRAR 3.51 this Sunday

I use WinRAR for only spanned rar files. I think thats the terminology. You know when a file is split into rar00, rar01, rar02 etc. WinRAR is the only app afaik that will reconnect them. If theres others let me know.

I use 7zip for all else.

 

powerarchiver can handle rar spanned archives. and like winrar its a paid app.

 

You're right Grumble. I 've read it. Best way is to try winRK yourself (like i did) and you will see not so bad at all qua speed or memory . On top you have the compression options: "fastest, normal, best asymmetric, high, maximum(PWCM), fastest(rolz3),..., efficient".

But yes there is also 7-zip an excellent FREE archiver.

 

Might be. I wonder if they are issuing a universal key to all users.

Looks like that to me, I think all the keys are the same. I spent several hours trying to get 2 keys and they ended up the same, what a waste

as far as I know yes, only for Windows. But wait till they give ver. 3.6 for free.

I decided to apply for a license lastnight also but because the Servers were under load due to the amount of Internet traffic, many hours of awaiting a license has surmounted in not being able to obtain a license for myself and if anything I'd like to use the software a lot. I wonder if it's possible that someone could send a license key to myself, or perhaps host it privately and send a hyperlink to myself via a Private Message seeing as Lodor seems to have obtained many more than he had bargained for. Lucky for some, unlike myself, my father was also hoping to obtain a license but again, the traffic caused issue. I had used WinRAR in the past and I think it's excellent, although the Zip files within Windows XP suffice, I can't say that I wouldn't find WinRAR useful and so if anyone can provide me with a license for both myself and my father, I'll be most thankful.

Update: Thank you to the Anonymous Member who offered a license for myself, it was recieved and is greatly apprecaited, I hope I can now put the application to good use, thank you also for the offer Furballi.

Hm... the keys aren't unique. I just did a comparison on a key that I got with my info and a key I got for my wife with her info. Identical. So there shouldn't be any problem installing this on all of my machines, right?

 

One key for 3.51.
