What impact does LnS have on getting Windows Updates? I struggled to get the pages loaded at the site, and the download and install took forever, even got a HTTP 1.01 server busy in place the "installing..." dialog.

Can;t figure out if this is LnS, since I haven't had this problem before, or if it all ties in with the Blaster worm? Are those guys trying to DoS the MS servers now?

    Hey...

Look 'n' Stop Personal Firewall does not have any "noticeable" slowdowns on the Internet Performance...

I found myself lastnight in the same position as you were with the Microsoft servers, extremely slow and at times it wouldn’t even load. The servers must be getting attacked; I just did a ping.

    C:\Documents and Settings\Phant0m_>ping windowsupdate.microsoft.com

Pinging windowsupdate.microsoft.nsatc.net [207.46.249.61] with 32 bytes of data:

    Request timed out.

    Ping statistics for 207.46.249.61:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss),

    Hey Yorkdale

I've just verified it's fully functional; you must be using Software which filters web-contents...

Thnx FluxGFX, that's what I figured. Finally got the things today when y'all were in bed, but looks like the attack was still happening as it was still slow.

Probably, I have S&D fully protecting me, plus the AV and custom extra high settings in the browser.

Just to verify; like shown on the pg1. page the Application Filtering Driver update is for Win2K / Win XP only…
