Seems to be at least a couple of days since nod32 updated it's definitions. Is this normal, because I have been using it a couple of months and it seems like they usually update a few times daily at least once anyway and this seems unusual? I have version 1.1651 and from eset web site this seems to be that last one put out, but I just wanted to make sure everything is cool? IS it usual to go a couple days between updates b/c I haven't been using nod32 long enough to know? thanks

Thanks RejZoR, I actually already saw that on the eset site, but I guess I am just wondering why it has been 2-3 days since an update? Is it usual from time to time for nod32 to go a few days between updates?

There do seem to be less frequent updates over the weekend, I've also noticed this.

However, ESET only publish the updates as necessary, and NOD will be updated as soon as it needs to be. Going by what normally happens, they'll be atleast one update today.

8th of July was my last update. If there's no need for an update then I don't mind.

and you have to consider that there there were:

    1 update on 1st July
    2 updates on 2nd July
    2 updates on 3rd July
    4 updates on 4th July
    1 update on 5th July
    2 updates on 6th July
    2 updates on 7th July
    1 update on 8th July
Now 1 update on 10th July

During that same period - you would get 2 updates with Norton - one update a week for that system is "normal".

Every once in a while for there to be a break in updates certainly doesn't worry me - I know that if there is a need for an update for a single high-risk threat, it will come - regardless of the time of day/night and even whether it's the weekend or not.

Well stated! Some things not worth losing sleep over. NOD32 leans on heuristics a bit more..so no need to panic.

Theres nobody in the office on the weekends, and eset usually makes up for it during the week.

Speaking of updates - the Virus Radar hasn't been having lot's of data over the last 3 or 4 days - are they having a national holiday and no-body is using their PC?

The serverhouse at large ISP had some power outtage recently so there was a disruption of the radar. But feel free to check not only virusradar.com but also http://www.virus-radar.com/centrum/ which is hosted elsewhere.

Ok thanks everyone I feel better just knowing everything is ok. My two computers with Nod32 updated fine today as soon as I started up windows. I wasn't sweating it, just wanted some reassurance that everything is ok with Nod32. I used to use Norton NIS so I realize how infrequently they updated and also Norton boggs down my computers so I am thrilled with Nod32 in camparison. Currently trying out Outpost Firewall Pro firewall which I like too.
