I have same problem with TI8 too. However, I contacted Acronis Support and the problem was solved by upgrading to TI9 with the latest build 3677.

    Hello timou,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

First of all, please make sure that you use Acronis True Image Bootable CD created with the latest build (3677) of the program. You can find the build number in the Help -> About dialog (it should be a 4 digit number). To get access to updates you should first register your software.

If the issue persists with the latest build, please boot you computer from Acronis True Image Bootable CD created with the build 3677 and create Linux system information (sysinfo.txt) as it is described in Acronis Help Post. Also please provide the exect madel and vendor of the CD/DVD drive you use. Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the link to this thread. We will investigate the issue and try to provide you with the solution.

    Thank you.
