The answer is no you do not have to un-install 3.5 first just to get your key. After entering your 3.5 code then Continue....it takes you to the next page and presents you with your new code.

4.0 corrupted my AOL software, I think. I have uninstalled Ewido 4.0 and finally got AOL reinstalled and working again. I really just want to keep 3.5 andn I have about 9 months left on my license. This stuff about 3.5 not working anymore is total bull crap. I need a version that will work on my PC and not conflict with my other software.

 

No, you don't have to. You can upgrade your key without uninstallng 3.5 before.

You can keep the 3.5 we're still supporting it and are going to offer updates but just the setup for 3.5 cannot be downloaded from us.

As I already said, we're working on this issue.

Thanks...... That fixed things up. This morning I started EWIDO and it said the some file, engine something was missing and I had to reinstall it. I sure hope this doesn't happen too often. This happened when I was trying to enter my new key....

Did you uninstall the old version without rebooting, install the new version and then reboot? This causes this to happen

 

I don't remember.... I've un-installed and re-installed so many times trying to get this thing to work.... I don't remember.
