i'd like 2 update but is the latest 9.x as stable as 8 build 937?
i've waited 4 a more stable version then what i'm currently unsig but its hard 2 beat version 8 bld 937 at least 2 me. i have 6 drives, partitions defined diff and vers 8 still keeps track of em (among otherthings).

If the version you have does everything you want it to do, then my suggestion is to stay with it.

just about. i understand the ew 9.x reords directly to dvd( i will dnload the 30 day thing(dont get old u forget) ) and see if if actually does that and saves all my wierd partition congifs..
i just didnt wanna do anything 2 screw up 8.x ti'sdecent work. i ulinke many others only use ti to bkup/restore boot p.

but hey u gave me a good idea i could at least check the sucker..out (after reading again what this latest version is suppose 2 do -and if it doeswhat it says it does).

If it works on your system then yes. However, the direct writing to DVD needs a fix so you might want to wait until that version is released. I don't expect it will be long since Acronis sent out emails extoling the virtue of direct DVD storage so they had better get it fixed sooner than later.

It seems to be the nature of imaging programs - they either work for you or they don't. Very little in between.

You are in a good situation. You can safely try it out since your V8 makes reliable backups in case it doesn't work as advertised.

ive tried 2 remain loyal 2 Acronis cause they did have a good product but after the big stand still/backslide during version 8 its rather hard to recommen m unless the can show real positive progress. The Ti old timers know what i'n talking about.
Anyway i try 2 support all the good software i purchase i use 2 do the same &more so i understand the entire picture including the programming side. (meds musta kicked in let me stop quick)..
any info or feedack is cool... thanks
