I have NOD32 installed on an Email server, the update program now returns a message checking remote update packages at temp.eset.com... failed error: host not found The update was working fine using server=www.nod32.com untill end of Jan 2006. Is there a new update server?
Where are you getting your list of servers? Neither one of those is in my list. Go to NOD32 Control Panel --> Update --> Update --> Setup --> Server and list all the servers shown in the combo box.
This is the version number, and it is not current. green# more nod32.ver #Tento subor je potrebny pre spravnu funkciu automatickej aktualzacie NOD32 #Nemente udaje obsiahnute v tomto subore [info] language=english platform=FreeBSD version=1.1371 build=4571 mod_build=4566 app_build=1000
Ohhhh, so your version of NOD32 is for FreeBSD Mail Server? That may explain the difference. We were under the assumption that you were using the version for Windows. I cannot ping temp.eset.com , so that server is probably no longer there. What happens if you go back to www.nod32.com or www.eset.com ? Here are the update servers listed in my Windows version. Maybe you can try these, as well: u2.eset.com u3.eset.com u4.eset.com 82.165.250.33 82.165.237.14 u7.eset.com u8.eset.com I seem to recall seeing others on my computer at work, but this should give you a place to start.
copy of update file. ### ### If you want to download updates from other than the default ### server (www.nod32.com), uncomment and edit the following ### line. ### server=www.nod32.com ###
I meant whether running "nod32umc -s www.nod32.com -a [authentication_file] [mirror_folder]" doesn't make a difference.
When I looked last night - yes. There's a redirect on the www.nod32.com update webpage See post https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=759102 Inserted this in /etc/hosts for temp fix: Code: 194.213.194.29 www.nod32.com Can't leave it there too long cause eset IPs change often. Email to tech support hasn't gotten a reply yet.
understatement of the year - I've never seen some many changes in IP addresses for a domain as I have with nod32.com!
Hi, this issue is still unresolved. green# ./update checking remote update packages at www.nod32.com... failed error: object not found NOD32 Command-line update system Copyright (c) 2001 ESET s. r. o. Searching for current version... Browsing the update files... Return value 1: Current version of NOD32 system installed
What happened when you tried as Marcos suggested above? OK... is it possible for you to update your nod32umc? Download the current version for your platform and see if works using that? -->HERE<--
