When launching the scanner I get the following:

    Operating memory is OK
MBR sector of the 2. physical disk. Error reading disk sector.

I emailed support and their reply was:
‘this error may occur if a user with restricted rights performs a scan with NOD32 Scanner. The reason is that NT systems deny access to MBR sectors for restricted users. Another reason may be having a special boot manager installed or the respective MBR sector is actually damaged.’

I am logged on with administrator rights, there is no special boot manager installed and I think I have rebuilt the sector using the Recovery Console.

Is this error cause for concern?

I have been getting that same error statement and haven't been able to figure out what it means either.

I used the recovery console also and the timing was certainly right for there to be a relationship. No one I have talked to seems to know much about it. Other than that error statement everything seems to be working fine in the OS.

I started a thread a few days ago about the same error message but got no responce. I don't have a 2nd physcial disk. I do have a 2nd logical disk though. Seems like a problen with Nod.

Having completed a clean reinstall of NOD 2.000.5 yesterday, I am still receiving the same 'error reading disk sector' when I launch the on demand scanner.

Does anyone know what '2. physical disk' is actually referring to, is it anything to be concerned about, or should I just blissfully ignore it?

    regards

    Jim
