    Lavasoft Ad-Aware
    Spybot Search & Destroy
    Spyware Blaster & SpywareGuard.
    WinPatrol

Do you still use them, part of your daily/weekly arsenal?

You just dropped the programs in favor of something else?

You dont like them so you never used any of them?

I don't see anyone posting anything about them anymore on any website, except for maybe once in a while because everything now is all about security suites and HIPS programs in the ever changing world of PC protection.

Only one I use from that list is Adaware. Just use it once week for a quick scan.

Still use Lavasoft Ad-Aware, Spybot Search & Destroy & Spyware Blaster + a couple on all my PC`s, but only for an occasional scan. None in real time with the exception of Spyware Blaster. Now on my "break me" PC, It is loaded to the gills with all the ones you mentioned and then some. I use it to scan infected hard drives that I pull from their native PC and place in a hot swappable external enclosure.

I still have Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D on my computer and I used the other ones in the past, but I'm not happy with scanners. I need more than that.

I have removed all. I found that Ewido took care of my sys. Besides I have plenty of protection. It has gotten to the point Ewido doesn't find anything. Which is Great.

I still use adaware and spybots as a scan backup to my primary spyware program Spysweeper. Occasionally use Winpatrol.

I use Search&Destroy now and then out of curiosity to see if it finds anything. Once a year or so I may install Adaware to see if it finds anything.

    (brag warning!)
Since I switched to Firefox with adblock, noscript extensions. those kind of [antispyware]programs has become obselete imho, they do nothing for me (ie either they are worthless in finding spyware or spyware just cant beat my setup ;))
And thanks to this forum I have learned how to run IE in restricted mode logged in as admin, so IE doesnt do any harm anymore either the few times I use it :)

I stopped using AdAware and Spybot, since they have no work to do anyway.
I use A-Squared Free (fast) and MWAV (KAV engine, good heuristic) to scan PC.
Sometimes I additionally use AntiVir Classic, HijackThis and Rootkit Revealer as well.

I don't use any of the above - It's not that I don't think their useful they are for the average user (esp. Spyware Blaster IMO) ... I just don't have a need for them. ;)

Only one i use is SpywareBlaster. It doesn't run resident, so there's no harm in keeping it's kill bits in my registry. If it was resident, and using resource then i would have got rid of it. The others i haven't used in quite some time. Not even installed on my current pc(Nov 2005).

So far I only have Spyware Blaster out of the ones I posted.
I'm thinking about Spybot S & D but I've been reading posts about the tea timer and it seems confusing.

Some use it, some don't use it, is there a reason?

I never get any type of spyware on my PC, but you can never be too sure what will happen, better safe than sorry.

I use the latest WinPatrol. I benefit greatly by its protection of extensions and registry modifications. It never lets RealPlayer (for example) make itself the default player every month or so, and prevents it from being added to the startup, which it tries to do everytime I use their stupid player. For the record, I hate Real, but the RealAlternative doesn't want to work right on my computer. I love WinPatrol. I DO turn off the barking dog however as I find it very obnoxious.

The only one of those programs that I currently use is Spyware Blaster.
    I was using WinPatrol recently.
Spybot and Adaware have been surpassed by Ewido IMO.

I use WinPatrol mostly just for that. iTunes likes to try to take over file associations from time to time, but Win Patrol will keep it in check.

I have been using Spybot mainly for the immunization and the system tools, but since I've been testing the Immunize in Spyware Doctor, I don't think I'll use it much longer. Sad to say, but in some recent test against SpyFalcon, Spybot and Ad Aware were totally useless. Spybot didn't find anything, and whatever Ad Aware found had zero effect on it. Using a disk image to revert back to the infected state after cleaning, Spyware Doctor, CounterSpy, and Spy Sweeper all nuked it.

If I had to rely on a program to protect me, it wouldn't be Spybot or Ad Aware these days.

Besides Win Patrol, SpywareBlaster is the only one I use for real to protect my computer.

I think they are all great programs (don't know anything abaout WinPatrol), especially for systems that have "only" Antivirus, Firewall, and use MS IE as their main browser.

I personally stopped using them because of redundancy.

With the onset of HIPS and Sandboxes they are only just a Novelty anymore. I keep only Ad-Aware SE and the rest i let go long time back.

Malware is H.I.S.T.O.R.Y. on my units and anyone else i come into contact with when i encourage them to install the right defenses.

You might say someone finally came along to put an end to all this intrusion foolishness that Microsoft deliberately pushed on the paying public long ago and neglected themselves to sufficiently correct.

Goes to show there are much sharper minds and engineers in this world that M$ money can never touch.
