Hi guys, I wonder if someone can shed some clarity on the following.

How does a browser upgrade impact SWBlaster. By that I mean the following:

Lets say that SWBlaster is already installed on your system. Your default browser is IE6 (v2600) the original one and you want to upgrade the browser to IE6SP1 (ie 2800). Could SWBlaster handle the upgrade or would the browser upgrade require certain pre-requisites (in the same way that uninstalling SWBlaster would not remove the protection in itself).

What I am trying to get an answer to is, prior to upgrading a browser should the protection on SWBlaster be disabled then do browser upgrade , then re-enable SWBlaster protection.....

Has anyone with SWBlaster installed on their system gone through a browser upgrade and is this the process they followed....

Apologies for asking what may be a stupid question

    Cheers

There should be no need to do anything special. All of the registry entries that Spywareblaster has already made to the appropriate Internet Explorer registry locations will remain during and after upgrading to IE 6 SP1.
