yep its turned off, but the guard itself doesnt actually run at startup, but its E icon and appears in my taskbar and i have to close it everytime windows start, id like to set it somehow so it doesnt run at startup. i only plan to use tis scanner when i really need it.
    thankies.

Hm..go to start > run > type in "msconfig" ( without the quotes ) > go to the startup tab > uncheck anything with "ewido in it.

Opening the main window if you go to the bottom under "additional" you should see a remove guard link. Click this and then all you have to do is reboot...:D

IF you just want Ewido to be on demand, it's pretty easy-

    Go into: Start>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services

Then right click on "Ewido Security Suite Control" and "Ewido Security Suite Guard" and click properties. You can then change the startup type to disabled, reboot. No more Ewido at startup.
