updating 9.0 from 2337 to 3567?

Currently running ATI 9.0, build 2337 (working great!).
Saw the latest build is 3567. Thinking of doing the update but want to
avoid any problems if possible.

Has anyone experienced any problems or difficulties with TI build 3567 that
i should be aware of? Like compatability of previous (build 2337) backups
or systemic problems?

Also, the download file size has more than doubled in size (37meg to 76.3 meg). Is the large size difference due to the addition of 64bit support or
something else?

It contains all the stuff to build a BartPE w/plug-in - you don't need to install that if you don't want. Or you can install, build the CD and then remove it.

 

You can easily avoid any problems since you can make a reliable backup with 2337 and thus get back to where you were after testing if desired. Just remember you won't be able to use any backups created by 3567 with 2337. You can read 2337 ones with 3567 though.

Even though 3567 installs over 2337 it seems adviseable to do a remove first because of reports of Acronis devices being left behind.

Some people have reported much slower backup/restore times primarily with USB devices.

Download is bigger because of X64 but primarily because of the inclusion of the plug-in and supporting files to make a BartPE CD. You need to install Full (or something like that) to have it included on your HD for building.

In 3567 the MBR is backed up with single partitions. Restoring C from within Windows does not require re-entering all the data when the system reboots. A new engine, the same as in corporate Version 9.1 versions is used. Various bug-fixes were done. My view from reading the forum is that it is an improvement but like every other piece of software it isn't better for everyone.

I do backups to internal disks and have had no problems.

2337 works fine foe me now and i think i'll hold off f3567 for a while since
i dont have 64bit and dont know what BartPE does or is.

I’m no expert, but that won’t keep me quiet!
The TI Rescue/Recovery CD boots to Linux. Some have found that those drivers will not provide everything they need for their hardware configuration. A BartPE boots to a Windows like environment with Windows drivers. This provides a lot of people better support for USB external drives among other things.
Again, you can choose not to install this.

 

I Would Hold Off For Now As For myself And Some Users Found Version 9.0.3567 To Be A Bit Buggy, I Fould It to be Very Slow - What Would take 5 minutes to image using 2337, It would take over 40 minutes using build 3567, exact same disk structure and size of disk, Found my mouse quite jumpy also, Acronis has mentioned that they are working on the problem so For now I Would keep using build 2337 until you read more positive reviews on the newer builds
