Assuming that you have a Windows version that has the security center, you might want to try it -- you would only have to enable alerts for the firewall (not for antivirus or auto updates). The option for this is hard to find: on the left side at the bottom.

By the way, I tested it more by restarting my computer. The security center showed the alert again when I logged in.

Of course that doesn't handle the situation where you disable *internet* filtering (because there could be a long delay from when you restart your computer and when you login). However, it seems likely that you would not disable internet filtering without first unplugging your internet modem.

If such change suggested by WSFuser were to be made, I don’t think it’ll be appropriate unless it was with a switch type implementation. My idea however would suggest a neat visual representation done through Look ‘n’ Stop systray icon, with use of at least two distinctive colors to represent the two main Look ‘n’ Stop features (Application Filtering, Internet Filtering). For instances when Application Filtering is deactivated the one systray icon color greys out.

    1. LnS has some application control where it prompt is one app tries starting another. i think there should be a seperate section/tab to control this (like in oupost).

    2. LnS' dialog boxes for allowing apps internet access should also have some info on where theyre connecting.

    3. the list of active apps should not go inactive if u disable application filtering.

none of my p2p and games rules will work when i disable app filtering because i set the rules to become active on starting of a certian program.

Got to agree with the last one. This must be set to 1024 not to interfere with anything...
