Yes, Nero AV with other AV can cause burning failed.
Currently Nero 7 still not as stable as you all think, they always try to solve the problem when someone is try to send out the LOG to them. Maybe you all can try use Nero 6, which very stable. May you all use Nero 7 in future when its already stable.

My Benq DVD/CD-writer was delivered with a CD, that contains Nero 6 OEM.
I already use it a few times for different things and it works properly.
I could upgrade it to version 6.6.1.4 via Nero website.
    I wasn't planning to use Nero, but it's a given horse. :)

Nero 6 is same as Nero 7, but the different is Nero 7 added with more multimedia software such as Nero Recode, Nero Show Time and Nero Photo Snap.

Haven't tried Nero 7. Did try an older version some time ago but didn't like it. Been using BurnAtOnce since. Besides being much less bloated, it's free, Open Source. Been using it for both music and data with excellent results. The GUI is quite plain but works well. So far, it hasn't burned a single coaster for me. If I'm seeing it right, it will also burn DVDs when used with ProDVD.

That's my favorite program as well. It is especially good at ripping disks since it reads in RAW, so it comes in handy for me copying my games so I don't destroy the original cd on accident than have no game to play (those are in a shelf in my close, away from all destructive objects, hopefully :doubt: ;) )

I also like deepburner, which works very well, and has a portable version.

    Cheers,

Let's all stay on the topic of Nero 7 in this thread. Feel free to start a thread on other cd/dvd burning programs elsewhere.
