I know it's going to be difficult to convince me.

It seems they could have taken Reggie, and if they felt they really didn't need him, traded him for someone like Mario, + lots more in addition. Whomever made this decision must have been driniking some really good stuff. :D

New England Patriots fans weren't that excited about Richard Seymour being drafted so high(#6) in 2001.I think they have done OK since then,so don't get too upset Texans fans!

    blabhead,

I've always wondered if Reggie was fragile. I've never really seen him take a hard hit (he's great at avoiding tacklers). If his knee goes out, he may never fully recover. I pray that doesn't happen, and it's probably not likely, and I still think he's a better bet than who the Texans selected.

A little bit of a strange pick by the Texans. 50+ million bucks for a DE who had 11 sacks in 23 games. Even with a suspect offensive line, Reggie Bush would have created all kinds of possibilities for Dave Carr, et al. RB is a GAME-BREAKER that makes opposing defensive coaches sweat bullets. I think the REAL concern was with Reggie's off-field problems with the cozy financial arrangements for his parents during his senior year @ USC.:ninja:

BTW, it's all a crapshoot for drafting teams. The list of 1st round "busts" over the years is quite lengthy.

My personal view is that the TN Titans "stole" 2 franchise-type players in Vince Young of TX & Lendale White of USC. Opposing defensive coaches will be dealing with those 2 guys for 10-12 years.

Unfortunately, I agree with you on this (unfortunate due to my being a Texan Fan).

Wow. That may be big money for Canadian Football, but not what Ricky has been used to. Sure hope he can pay the utility bills. :D

    LoL,

Yeah, 250k is chump change for most NFLers. :D

Doesn't seem to have bothered a few NFLers in the past though either starting their careers or trying to resurrect them. Doug Flutie, Rocket Ismail and going way back Vince Ferragamo who didn't fair too well with the Canadian style of Football just to name a few.

The salary cap for the CFL teams this year is $3.8M. :p

The only memory I have of Joe Theismann is that broken leg he got in the game with the New York Giants. :ouch: I only saw it once, that was enough.
