Sorry to hear about the PC problems, but they do happen to everyone. Thanks for dropping in and letting everyone know you are still alive and well, some of the natives were getting restless. :D

I wanted to try AppDefend this week, but I saw the word "beta" and that was the end.
So I comforted myself with installing RegDefend.

But for a 'Beta' it works like a charm.
Great app which can only improve more with each new version. :D
BTW Even a release version can have bugs, but it's not called a 'Beta'. :D
Very nice, you'll enjoy it very much. It does its job very well. :thumb:

Jason's beta of AppDefend works great. You should not sell yourself short Erik just because it's a "beta."

I've been using it for months now without any issues. I am looking forward to the final version. I am pretty confident at that time that I will purchase it as well. :)

Sorry rules are rules : betas for beta-testers and final versions for users. I'm educated this way at work. If the word "beta" has no meaning at all anymore, they better drop it.
But we have something in common : I'm also looking forward to the final version. :)

Yes but imho, Jason's beta's are better than most. I would give it a shot. :)

But at least if that release has been deemed "final", it qualifies for support. With a beta, you often get a middle finger or a shoulder shrug, even if you've paid for it. (I am speaking generally here, not about GSS.)

    @ ErikAlbert

You are the kind of person for who Google only have a search engine isn't it ? ;)
Gmail (beta) Google destop bar (beta) Google toolbar (beta) Google XYZ (beta)

In all seriousness beta only means: this product do not yet qualify for our standart of quality. Some compagny have higher standart than others.

NO. BETA means that this product has not been YET qualified for ALL our tests, no matter what the standards are.

Another month passed since I last posted here.

I'm just wondering how the latest version is coming along. Will I see one before the year ends? Am I looking too often? Should I check once every three months?

At least the developer should give a word on the progress, instead of being slient. Maybe new critical bugs were found to make the final release not possible within a month? Or some critical problems were encountered?

I understand this is not a good idea to push the developer to release the product in a rush manner, but at least the developer can give some progress so that people know what is going on.
