    I have been successfully using TI 9.0.2337 to image a machine over the network. I'm using the TI recovery boot CD to do this.

    In order to select a destination file, I have to browse through "Computers Near Me" to the domain the server is in, then select the server. At this point TI asks for my credentials (as expected), and then I can browse to the actual share and directory where the image will be located.

    However, when I tried to use the recovery boot CD created by TI 9.0.3567 the above process hangs when I try to expand the destination server (it never asks for credentials or displays the shares on the server). It just stays showing a mouse cursor with an hourglass.

    I select the 'Full' option when the recovery CD boots.

    The server in question is a Windows Server 2003 machine in an Active Directory domain, in case that matters.

    Also, the browsing on 3567 is noticable much slower on 3567 than 2337.

    Hello mwb1100,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    Please try to specify the full UNC path to the desired computer in "file name" edit box, e.g. \\server\share.

    If that does not help, please do the following:

    - Boot the computer from Acronis True Image Bootable Rescue CD and press F11 key when the selection screen advising you to select either "Full", "Safe" or "Boot into Windows" option appears;

    - After you get the "Linux Kernel Settings" prompt, please remove the "quiet" word, click on the OK button, choose "Full Version" and wait for # prompt to appear;

    - Issue the following commands:

    asamba dhcp -n
    asamba masters

    - Write down the output after each of the commands or use a digital camera to make a shots of the output screens;

    - Insert a diskette in a floppy disk drive and issue the following commands;

    cd tmp
    mkdir mntdir
    mount /devfs/floppy/0 mntdir
    cat /proc/net/dev > mntdir/net.txt
    sysinfo > mntdir/sysinfo.txt
    umount mntdir

    - Collect the net.txt and sysinfo.txt files from the diskette.

    Please also note that sometimes the sysinfo.txt and net.txt files are not readable from under Windows. In this case please try entering the file names using capital letters (SYSINFO.TXT, NET.TXT) or follow the instructions provided in this previous post.

    If you do not have a floppy drive then please take a look at this previous post explaining how to save the sysinfo.txt file to USB flash drive.

    Please submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

    Thank you.

    I have submitted the files you requested (along with similar diagnostic files for build 2337 if you need to compare).

    There was no output from the "asamba masters" command in either TI build.

    One update - 3567 did eventually ask for credentials (probably 20 minutes or more after trying to open the share). However, it did not let me browse the share after that (unless after half an hoiur I gave up waiting too soon).

    Thanks.

    The incident # is 547870.

    There's not yet a resolution, but I've recieved emails indicating that the issue is being worked.

    Actually, I've received three messages (including yours) that were posted over the weekend - a holiday weekend at that. This issue is really not that urgent, as I have a workaround (build 2337 is working fine). I do want Acronis to look into this, but it's nothing that needed anyone's attention over the weekend!

    I'll have to remember to post any future, non-urgent issues on Mondays only!

    Thanks.

    This problem seems to be fixed in build 3625.
