I noticed a LOT now do. I rarely see women with hair past their shoulders.

Well cheater...this is a very good question. [IMG]

Part has to do with being rebellious !! YESS!! Women rule no-a-days ! :p You know...just like some men refuse to simply cut off THAT hair and rule out ever seeing a barber !! HM ! :shifty:

So, some women turn their back on the "demand" from society, that all females HAVE TO HAVE long hair in order to be 'sexy' and feminine.
Some just like to go with what's "in".

Besides...not only does short hair look pretty hot on some girls...it's easier to take care of too. There you have it. :D

Another reason is...that I think it's the fault of our chromosones. Yep...those little buggers. Both girls and boys have both of the sexes.
    Cool huh ?
Thats why women like to dress in trenchcoats and suits, ala Marlene Dietrich...and certain men enjoy wearing female undies...bras, and the like.

Oops. And lipstick. Some hairy guys like wearing lipstick too.
    And some females have a mustache.....and hairy legs, NO chest....just like a man.....  ......And...And............And.........................   :p :p :p

One thing is for sure. Noone won't ever see me with short hair.
I'll have a long white mane once I'm old and grey. :D :D

But in general, it all boils down to what makes one comfortable...and it's a matter of taste how ANYBODY wants to look. ;)

Call me Rapunzel in Ravensburg, hairy Nat

A barber is one who cuts hair, shaves beards. Only associated with men, not a hair salon, but a 'Barber shop' in old days, had a red and while striped 'barber's pole' out front indicating it was for haircutting.

There are a few dedicated 'barber's' around still, who only cut men's hair.

I will try to give the answers to the asked questions as much as my young brain tells me:

Teenagers have it just to be "cool" and rebellious, like Nat said. Some adult women cut their hair short for practical purposes like reducing perspiration on humid environments. Also, on some women it does look nice.

Some younger girls do it in order to be more "boyish" and fit in with boys better. Raging hormones in teenagers would be the primary cause for most of the strange things the kids do.

:eek: well now you've officially got me creeped out!

Some people cash in on this stuff and make "unisex" clothes, which can be worn by boys and girls. Thus they have things like specially designed old-time women's dresses meant to look good on men and stuff like that. Makes my head spin. o_O

    Now that's a relief....:)

A barber is a guy whose main occupation is to cut hair, give shaves and cut/trim beards. Once upon a time, barbers would also perform certain types of surgery.

There's still lots of barbers here in the area where I live (they also cut young girls' hair though).

A strange time is adolescence.....And I must say a time that some of us would wish to forget. :D:p
