I am a complete newbie to website building and I am therefore interested in WYSIWYG editors.

Can anyone recommend some easy to use editors?

They will be for 2 sites; one for a business and the other solely as a hobby and neither will be more than 5 pages.

I already have Frontpage2002 as part of Office XP. Is this newbie friendly?

I have been recommended to use SiteSpinnerV2 by Virtual Mechanics. Has anyone used this one?

hi, I'm using frontpage too for a year now, and as a newbie I must say it 's okay.
I see no reason to get another program.

It 's said that frontpage generates more code on your pages so they will be a bit slower.
Also some providers (like mine) don't support frontpage-extentions like frontpage-guestbooks... but you can get these things elsewhere.

good luck, it 's fun ;)

    Hi Blackcat

I spent a lot of time trying to get my hands on a wysiwyg I would feel comfortable with and which would allow me to easily design and put on line my own site.

God knows I ain't one of M$ fans, but out of desperation I decided to finally try FrontPage. Although a complete newbie myself at the time, in a few minutes I had completely rebuilt the site, which is now on-line.

Lots of M$ softs I don't like, but FrontPage I have to admit is a beautiful success.

    Rgds, Crockett

good for you, I tried it but can't say it 's a newbiefriendly program.
I gave up, then I found that it 's a sites content that makes it more popular (for searchengines, google...) and decided to keep it the way it was.
    greetingz, ;)

ps: found that coolpage only offers to buy/try

I briefly tried Dreamweaver MX but I found it too complicated/unwieldly for me. As regards HTML I am a confirmed newbie and was just lost in the features/functions of DW. It DOES have a great reputation though.
