    To properly uninstall NOD32:

    1. Go to Add/Remove Progs and uninstall it from there fully.

    2. Go to your C drive in My Computer, Progfiles and look for the Eset folder.
Delete this folder and also delete all from the Recycle Bin.

    3. Re boot the PC

    Hopefull this will help.

When you bring up task manager, is explore.exe running? If not, try launching it from Applications tab in Task Manager (the New Task button) to bring up your desktop.

Did you have another anti-virus installed at the same time, or had you come from Norton?

    Cheers :D

Well, since you are the only one in the world having this problem I doubt it's conected to NOD32 only.

No, I had my New Laptop ( 3 months ago ) I paid $ 3000+ Usd for my Laptop with out any AV, just Windows XP Pro after read many post here I decided buy NOD32 and started my headache, problem after problem, I uninstalled and probelms too, finally Installed KAV, Graet, Great any any problem, Uninstall KAV any problem, Installed again any problem, Now Understand Why KAV is the No. 1, May be NOD is not good for Top Latop, just old equipment.

    Thank you,

I have NEVER seen what you are talking about on a NEW system with fresh install of windows, and I have installed Nod32 on over 500 machines.

Any how, you are sorted now, all the best.

    Cheers :D

My experience has been similar to Blackspears.
I'm sure what Marcos said was right also.
    Cheers :)
