Yes, I can imagine that. It seems to me, that they detect a trial key here and therefore keep on sending me a reminder.

It seems to appear when the update is active.....and this is what comes:

Or maybe you have cookies stored in the browser somehow?. I never found any need to store cookies to the Doctor at all...who knows. Oh well off to bed here, cheers and good luck .I'll be snooping thru the forum again tomorrow...:shifty: :thumb:

Problem solved, the key I was using was not correct. Got another trial-key and reminder didn't come anymore.......second action, I just bought a new license, just to get that 'good old feeling' back again. Very cheap......migration license for half the price!!!

Another update on using Dr. Web again.......well, I'm very sorry to say, that I removed the doctor again, as it started slowing my system down again......not as bad as a while ago, but for me still not acceptable. I really don't have a clue on what's happening here. When scanning a big exe file, it didn't take all that long in the beginning, but after a few days I could really notice it was taking longer again and again. It riddles me completely. I just bought a license, as I really liked the trial, but.......also when just surfing, it's slowing things down. I have tried every configuration possible, but I would nearly have to disable just about every scanning options in order to reach the desirable speed......and that's not good enough for me. I have no trouble what so ever with some other brands of AV programs. In the beginning I felt my system faster compared to using Nod32, but that didn't last long. I'm back to Nod again......and I'm stuck with a brand new license for Dr. Web.
Sorry to say, but that's the way it is. I have no idea what makes this thing happen. My system runs normal, no hardware conflicts, nothing.......somehow my PC won't accept Dr. Web!

Real sorry to hear this. Every once in a great while I run into something that 92 out of 100 people can use with no problems. I'll be one of the few that will have a problem. I think it happens to everyone eventually. What is curious though is that you used the Doctor for a good long while without a problem, very puzzling... :D

Yes, it puzzles me completely also......Oh well, there are more roads leading to Rome.
If there's a Dutch user around here interested in my Dr. Web's license.......PM me. I purchased the bugger for only 14,37 euro!!

Serious, that was a real nice picture.
It should be nice if DrWeb used SpywareDoctor as their antispyware.
i heard that they are discussion this but i am not 100% sure.

    Hi Benvan45/ Putin
(sorry, I am accustomed to the previous nic)
I am real sorry to hear that it is not working on your PC, and keep wondering why?
Have you tried to post the details in their own forum to see if you get any concrete responses or assistance from the folks at Dr. Web?
Inquiring minds would like to know :(
    Just a suggestion :)
    Cheers :)

I've been thinking about that, but it seems the same trouble as the last time and the suggestions I got, didn't help. I really think there's something with my system that's colliding. I have been screwing around too long already and I seem to be one of very few, so.....never mind, just forget about Dr. Web..!
Actually.....I have the same with Kav as well......really slows down also. Every thing I do is being scanned and crawls like hell. I have to disable all kind of 'needed/important' options in order to come to an acceptable speed. For instance, I use Total Commander and just opening a map takes seconds with Dr. Web and Kav. Nod32, Antivir 7.0, F-prot and AVG Pro are the only scanners that don't slow my PC down to a crawl and I switched to Nod a while ago and I'll just stick with it........

Is an option, but I'll try to sell it to a Dutch Dr. Web lover first.....there should be one around here somewhere.

Tried the standalone scanner a while back and it made a rspcss error came back.
So be shure to make a restore point before using such program or try AVG or AntiVir.

Een Rus die Nederlands (geen Hollands! :-* ) spreekt. Naast Nederlands ook Duits, Engels en natuurlijk Russisch.
