what,s up with nod32?

Tried too update nod32 and it doesnt work?was stuck at 1.1454 and re-installed and got the update too 1.1458 but the "advanced heuristics module version" is still at 1.027(should be 1.028 right??) and if i look in the eset folder eset/updfiles and in the file upd.ver it still says i have version 1.1454using the trial vesrion...
see that a lot of people have problems soo what the **** is wrong??

Are you saying you are using the trial version?
If so then what I've read elsewhere on this forum is paying customers get priority.

If you read the posts, you will have all info available, including descriptions what is happening and why.

 

soo why is nod32 acting like this?re-installed again and choosed nod32 too notify me before downloading virus def update and it says that 1.1454 is the newest but after download it is 1.1458 in information field...why isnt nod32 offering me 1.1458?hope i dont piss any one off here by my dumb Q

yes it says i have 1.1458 too but i had set nod32 too notify me before download after installtion and it notified me that 1.1454 was the newest not 1.1458....soo i think its strange that nod32 notify me about one thing and does something else??and advanced heuristics module version is still 1.027

 

I can also reconfirm micke669's claims through a friend's trial version (that just installed). He had to re-install it in order to get the last update, but even then he never got into the:

Advanced heuristics module version:
1.028 (20060324)
Advanced heuristics module build:
1107

He is still under 1.027 and 1106 versions, when that shouldn't be the case, right? I don't know what's going on and why so many people faced such problems in getting the program fully updated, but even now he doesn't know what he should do in order to fully implement the changes.

Any idea?

I'm using trial for 2 weeks now and I'm stuck with 1.1454 since 22/03/2006.

 

The trial and cracked versions will most likely continue updating again later today. You can uninstall the trial version and install it from scratch to get an update immediately.

 

So we need to know who uses cracked version - please reply here in this thread if you do.

 

My NOD seems to be cracked... Can I send it in for warranty replacement?

insted of selecting an automatic server, select : 82.165.250.33 server.

thet try to update again

 

Mine updated to 1.1458 without any hickups

Also for those lost souls or lost survivours who are having these sort of probs if worse come to worse why not email Eset and ask them for help, I mean really aren't they the ones who write this program so really shouldn't it be them to provide you with a logical answer.

 

so what about the advanced heuristics module & build issue? i believe this hasnt been solved yet, why this kind of update is not incluided with the latest signature database ( 1.1458 )?

any clues or ideas?

I wouldn't recommend following this advice or you might not get updates if the server you select is discontinued in the future.
