On the *security fast-track* Devinco (what I tell ya) .... security informant all-around clear and candid poster, StevieO (I have yet to help you directly, but there's time) .... Mr. Beetlejuice (you've been coming here a long time, ay Old Faithful) .... so are you Brad, good balance of humor, assistance, and the ability to track down just the right W's link when requested. You do spend too much time here ya know! :D .... Haven't run into either you Fuser (aside from once in Ten-Four and a short duet in Software) or you Vampiric Crow, but am happy to see you both doing well, helping other's and offering your own individual style's of friendly, useful support. Keep up the good work! :thumb: Notok, anyone (well almost anyone if you follow) could admire your carefully composed, well thought phrasing and ability to keep subject matter on course during discussion, a worthy attribute indeed.     Learning new thing's is nothing NOT to share Nat. All anyone need keep in mind when aiding you is to *include* you. :) There's never any shortage of member's whom are more than willing to assist with your concern's. BTW .... maybe a pinch number phobia? :D Under my new lease, I can let any possibility sink into the post-count abyss.

    Last but hardly least, you Ron. Though I don't recall ever offering you a formal *pat on the back,* I do highly commend your daily (not sure how you do this) commitment toward's providing the W's forest with the latest security related article's, while remaining organized enough to address anyone arriving here in search of help with your courteous and professional demeanor (this include's taking charge, exercising discretion, and making tough decision's)! Ah, but there are still many mile's ahead .... ONWARD! :D

    here's a present :D

    it's tab complete for DOS (so instead of having to type everything in a DOS prompt you just type the first 2 or 3 letters then hit the TAB key to automatically complete the word) :cool:

    Something that I love from the *nix world is tab completion. CMD.EXE has that
    although its not always enabled. This is very easy to change. Type 'regedit'
    in CMD.EXE and it will open up the registry editor. Then go to:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE> SOFTWARE> Microsoft> Command Processor> CompletionChar
    and
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE> SOFTWARE> Microsoft> Command Processor> PathCompletionChar

    Then change these values to 9 with the hexidecimal radio button selected. When
    you click ok, the next time you open CMD.EXE you will have tab completion.

    I've seen that mentioned (/f:eek:n <- smiley code :D current session) running cmd help only to continue hitting *any key* another x time's thinking .... know there's purpose in here somewhere .... do I or will I ever have the time or need to apply any of it? That was then. Nice of you to shed some light passing the idea of *baptized,* switch included, auto-complete command's (pretty slick slim). This is a lot better for me though than any new "do everything for me" type program, and a novel way of customizing the way some of us use the prompt, thank's J. :ninja::D

    Thank's aside for all the cool tip's, diverse/useful software (the majority of which you provide comment's via first hand experience, not website quote's that alway's make me feel like someone's out goat'in guinea pig's :cautious:), and light-hearted, easy going air you've unselfishly shared with everyone here on the forum, myself included.

    My apologie's for getting back so late to thank you for your generous thought's and approval Steve. It's been an educational experience since the early day's of my stay when you were instrumental in nuturing the "if you've asked for help and received that which you sought, consider passing the gesture along should the circumstance present itself" state of mind (unspoken understanding) .... an attitude we among many good soul's here share.

    Now closer friend, and I let you in on something. Back when your congratulatory threads were current was it ever my intention to miss conveying favor for your obviously dynamic social skills, or sense of duty concerning community issue's (good having someone like you here on the forum's). I felt pretty bad not having the words come to me then though I would hope you weren't second guessing my thought's, never the case. In your honor and everyone else who put's in a genuine effort to help someone, whether it be online or during the course of daily existence, please accept this refresher of a passage my mentor and I have tried to adhere, living out each and every day ....
