    I tried using the boot from floppy but it also hangs on please wait...

    I tried this with 5 diferent servers all the same so has to be that Trueimage is not compatible with this hardware.

    Server is a Dell SC1425 with a cert raid controller

    Please can you look into this

    Thanks

    Axel

    Hello Axel,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Server Disk Backup Software.

    Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

    Please download and install the latest build (1213) of Acronis True Image 8.0 Server for Windows which is available in the Product Updates section of our web-site.

    If the problem still persists, please use a digital camera to make shot of your RAID configuration in BIOS.

    Please also make a screen shot of the Device Tree application:

    - Download and unpack the Device Tree application;

    - Run the application;

    - Completely unfold the \Driver\Disk and \Driver\FtDisk branches;

    - Move the margin to the left in order to see all the items;

    - Make a screen shot;

    Please create Acronis Report and Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

    Please create an account, then log in and submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

    Thank you.

  6. I have a Dell Precision 470 workstation PC with the CERT RAID controller. I have the exact same issue.

    Please, Acronis... If you have a solution, post it to the forums. That is precisely what the forums are for. I should not have to wait 48 hours for a solution if you have already found a solution to the problem for somebody else.

    If TrueImage 9.0 is not compatible with the CERT RAID controller, please make a mention of it somewhere since it seems to be common among newer Dell workstations and servers.

    Solutions can often be hardware/application dependent and thus unique.

    Hello Eric,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    Please be aware that as Detox has said the solutions for this kind of issues are usually hardware dependent and so I'm afraid I can not provide you with the one right now.

    Please provide us with the information requested in the previous Acronis Support posts. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the most suitable solution as soon as possible.

    Thank you.

    if its in an ibm server, be sure to upgrade manually (!!) to the latest hostraid driver (4.0.36.2 work fine for me). the ibm setup cds will install an old, obviously faulty driver that caused the crashes for me.

    Dear all can you please help me also with this problem? I have the same problem. I work on an ASUS server with an ADAPTEC hostraid controller (again !) on windows 2003 SP1. I did already the registry update (with the snapman and maxblocksize) but it doesn't help.

    I try to uninstall my version of Acronis True Image Server 8 but i can't either. I'm getting very frustrated so please give me a solution.

    And this exact same problem occurs on TI Version 9. I am experiencing the exact same thing. IBM xServer 306m with Adaptec SATA-RAID Controller running two drives in RAID 1 mode. I will try to go through this very confusing forum post, however I suggest for Acronis to organize this into a FAQ document because reading all the posts in here with all the different suggestions is really intimidating. I don't know in what order I should be trying these different suggestions as it is very confusing.

    My free trial will be off my server in a week if this cannot be resolved.

    Update!

    Great news, after decyphering all the information in this thread, I was able to fix my problem. The following registry edit got my Acronis up and running without locking up or crashing. I was missing the "Parameters" key altogether.

    Thanks to all those who posted in this thread especially Acronis Support!
