I'm looking for a keylogger for personal use on my machine. I'm concerned about installing one that might be detrimental to it however, and I'm only interested in it saving a text file of the info it obtains and nothing else. I've come to be concerned about activity on it, and I'd like to find out if it's something I should worry myself about.

Perhaps someone could make a recommendation, I would appreciate it!

Back in the days I used the freeware version of SC Keylog 2, but I had to remove it because Kav 5 kept complaining about it, even when I put it in the excluded list. o_O

You may also want to check here:
    All In One Keylogger
    http://www.relytec.com
Only the trial is free but it is worth it.
I used it for tracking my kids online activities.
This, in my opinion is the best keylogger you will find.
It even got 5 cows from tucows.
They give 7 days of free full functionality trial.
After that you will need to purchase, but it doesn't cost much and it definitely worth it.
