    Hi there,

I had to increase the size of C and then I moved (I used resize and reposition the partitions), C and another Xp installation E.

I've done everything booting DD10 with the CD's, everything went fine and I can reboot in C, but E won't start anymore.

Xp E would show me the logo on the black screen(the one with the progress bar), go as far as the blue screen with the welcome to xp and.....that's that!

Why? Kirill if you see this one you should know what I'm talking about, unfortunately!

Kirill, I also managed to kinda of sort out my windows management issue, deleting my empty partitions and using the cmdcms run a chkdsk on the entire volume. This is the result.

I'm going to try to rebuild the other partitions and see what happen.

One more question. I installedas suggested, snapapi, what is that exactly for and why I've got a folder in C:\program file\common files\Acronis now and a snapman.sys in my windwows\system32\drivers.

I uninstalled Acronis from windows and I only use dd10 and ti9 with the cd's.

Do I still need those files? And if not, how do I uninstall them safely?

Sorry about the lenght of the message.

    Many Thanks

    Luca:D

    Hello Luca,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Software.

Please boot up from the Windows Bootable CD, then go to the Recovery Console (the first Repair option you come to).

From the command prompt please type:

    FIXMBR
    FIXBOOT C:
    COPY CDDrive:\I386\NTLDR E:\
    COPY CDDrive:\I386|NTDETECT.COM E:\
    BOOTCFG /rebuild

After that, please reboot your computer.

If that does not solve the issue with your E: booting then please create Acronis Report once again and submit a request for technical support. Attach the report file to your request along with the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

Regarding those files you have mentioned, they are special Acronis Drivers and are used by Acronis programs only within Windows. In case you do not use Acronis Software in Windows then you can safely delete all the files related to Acronis products by doing the following:

    - Delete snapman from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E967-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} -> UpperFilters
    - Delete snapman and timounter from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{71A27CDD-812A-11D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F} -> UpperFilters
    - Delete snapman, timounter and tifsfilter from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services
    - Delete TrueImage from the following registry keys:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Acronis\Autopart (can be absent)
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Acronis\CDRecord
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Acronis\Schedule2
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Acronis\SnapAPI
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Acronis\Snapman
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Acronis\VBus
    - Delete \Windows\System32\autoprnt.exe if it exists
    - Open Task Manager and stop the following processes: schedhlp.exe, TrueImageMonitor.exe
    - Delete \Program Files\Acronis folder
    - Delete TrueImage Monitor from the following HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
    - Delete the following keys in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT:
    .tib
    .tis
    tibfile
    tisfile
    - Delete the following registry keys:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\TrueImage
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Acronis (you may need to grant full control permission to yourself to delete this key)
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Acronis
    - Reboot the computer.

    Thank you.
