Just tried out zipped copy of foxit reader, and from first impression it just looks like a slimmed down acrobat, also it modifys existing pdf's code without asking.

It is just a small less intrusive PDF reader. Much smaller in size.;)

I still use the Adobe Reader with the Adobe Reader Speed-Up, because the Foxit PDF Reader doesn't show the pdf so well like the Adobe, and seems to have some problems on printing...

I had some printing problems until I updated to version 1.3 build 0913 haven't had any problems since then.;)

Foxit works gangbusters for me. I stay up-to-date on its updates by subscription to Foxit's entry at Beta News.

    Foxit works great. :thumb:
It opens your PDF's really fast and it shows those quite well.
I only use it for reading PDF's or extracting text/images from it, so
I'm not aware of any printing problems. :doubt:

I'm also subscribed to Beta News, so every time there's a new version
I don't hesitate to install it, even if it's a beta.
Stay up-to-date because it's updated pretty quick to fix reported problems.
Adobe is long gone from my computer. :D

Foxit is awesome. Way better than the Adobe bloatware reader. And it does not call home either. :ninja:

Does anyone know if this reader now has the ability to automatically open a pdf in the browser (firefox) when you click on a pdf link , like the adoble one does?

It doesn't open in the browser window at present, but it opens in Foxit instead.
    Try it out. ;)

No problems here with Foxit reader, much more fast and small than any others.

I love Foxit, and openly promote it on a website I administer, where I use PDF files. The only thing I have found with it is that the text seems to not be as clear.

I use Foxit and it is pretty good, no bloat like Acrobat but if you must have Adobe then I would recommend version 5, small enough, and not as bloated as the newer versions.:)
