Fortunately I was enjoying the sights of a Chamber of Commerce-type day in San Francisco last Sunday and didn't have to be subjected to Stupor Bowl XL. Most (except maybe Steelers' fans) seemed to find the game a real snore. Seahawks' fans now call the Pittsburgh bunch the Stealers, what with the officiating leaning only one way on some critical calls. Even Jay Leno commented last night that the only danger of sudden death was when the Stones played during halftime.:D

Well, I had heard about this a week or so ago, but didn't read the details until now. This burns me up. Had I known the details prior to the game Sunday, I never would have rooted for those bums. As much as I hate the Steelers (being a Cowboy fan, of course) I'm glad they lost.

Is there anybody AT ALL that even bothered to watch the Pro Bowl this past weekend? What a non-event. Just a reason for the pros to get a free trip to Hawaii...

I have never watched the Pro Bowl in it's entirety. It's boring and the players don't give one hundred percent.

Texans willing to trade top pick

INDIANAPOLIS — Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush might not land with the Houston Texans after all.

Texans general manager Charley Casserly said Sunday that the Texans have been talking to teams about possibly trading the first pick in the 2006 draft.

Nice to have the option. :D

I think the offense needs less work than the defense.

It certainly is and the Texans could probably get a boatload for it. ;) :D

The coach they hired played locally in Houston and was quite a star quarterback. I am curious to see what he comes up with. It should be an interesting year. (Hopefully) :D

Not a Cowboy fan myself, nor can I dance, but should be interesting to those who care. Can the Tuna get the payoff he & Jerry want from T.O.?

Hey!, it's good to be talking FOOTBALL again!!:isay: :D

They are comparing him to Michael Irvin. That's enough to get me excited about this coming season. :D

You can't pass the ball flat on your back. The offensive line needs a little work too.

Yes. Don't get me wrong. TO is not the answer to everything. But it is a start.

Tagliabue to retire as Commissioner in July

Did a very good job IMHO in his 16 year tenure under some tough conditions especially in the early years.

Agreed. Especially if you consider profits a measure of success.

Glad to see the 'Boys are going after some high-dollar players again. Maybe they want to win another Superbowl. ;)

This guy suspended again? 4 times now.....

    http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/MIA/9396231

Seems Williams is a habitual drug user. I read an article in the local sports pages this morning where supposedly the CFL(in paticular the Toronto Argos) are talking to Williams about coming here to play this season. Gawd i hope not, this team has very good cohesion and have been together for quite some time now and IMHO, bringing this guy in would be disruptive and poisonous to the team.

Do everyone a favour Ricky and retire permanently.
