    Re: SpywareGuard 2.2 released!

:thumbd: I just downloaded SpywareGuard 2.2 from the Javacool site, but when I ran the setup, my system said that it was not signed (Unknown Publisher).

I think they should take more care over things like that if they are promoting security, don't you?

    Hey Peter....Welcome to Wilders,

In order to fully understand and possibly assist the programmer....what program or portion of your system informed you of this matter ?

Hey Bubba - thanks for the reply.
I downloaded spywareguardsetupmin.exe from the Javacool site, saved it, double clicked it. A box opens up titled Open File - Security Warning and the text says The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software.
So I guess it's XP doing that?

    Peter.

If it indeed is XP giving the warning I'm personally not aware how they clasify programs. What I can say is that if you downloaded the software from a Javacool site you can trust the publisher without hesitation.

Perhaps I should have added that it said there was no digital certificate. Anyway I did install it and it seems to work fine. Thanks for your advice.

Now I just need to find a place to post my problem setting up file sharing on my new home wireless network. Is that one of your specialities by any chance?

    Peter.

Nope....they don't let me venture into areas such as that....just kidding :D

In regards to your file sharing and where to post....that can be best handled in our software & services forum....where hardware is discussed also if you need wireless network assistance.
