I dont think nameing trojans that bypass firewalls is a good idea im sure the gods of this forum wouldnt like it, Any trojan using "process memory injection" thier is many recent and old, if you search you will find some im sure Many peope confuse dll injection and process injection, A firewall that detects dll injection will not protect you from memory injection ,most firewalls only detect dll injection and the ones that do detect memory injection like outpost don't prevent reverse connections, quite simply if your firewall is not monitering memory of apps then its not going to detect code injected into that process memory i meen outpost does detect this but is unable to stop it

No they arent u dont get the same type of updates u get smaller updates or u get them at a later time. And outposts trial version kept crashing for some reason. Trust me i tried both ZA and Oupost trial and pro and they arent the same.

You are wrong. They are 100% exactly the same. No features are disabled during either of their trials and you will get the same updates as a paid owner because you are using the paid version of each, but just with a 30 day limit.

Take a look at each of their forums and ask, if you don't believe me.

    Wolfeyes .
You are incorrect on this . They are the same , in theory . The updates you speak of MUST be dealing with the AS in each . As for the firewalls themselves , they are the full deal until the end of the trial period . I can assure you that the trial of each IS the same .\
    Sorry

No they arent the trial versions updates of zone alarm were actually smaller than the actual version of zone alarm.

If you want the best firewall (in it's proper sense, without all the extra bits and bobs) which is very efficient and uses minimal memory, I'd recommend LnS.

To complement this, I would also use SSM (as mentioned by Paranoid2000) for process control.

OP uses too much resources for my liking, although many people like it. I've heard some bad things about ZA, and I haven't used Kerio

As an extra thought, and I know it's not on your original list but, it's worth checking out Kaspersky Internet Security 6 which is currently in beta. The new Anti-Hacker firewall component looks very promising, and coupled with that you get the best AV and very powerful Proactive Defence Module, amongst other modules.

Actually its a bug were windows cant show u the exact amount of memory op is using until u open it and minimize it. But my op usally runs at 10k compared to zone alarms 35-40k

    Hi wolfeyes,
I'm also a registered user of OutPost and ZA Pro, but what I downloaded was what I used and nothing else.
Only had to insert my registration key and that's all. :)
The trial version of OutPost/ZA Pro are one and the same, so I don't understand why you say it isn't.
It's the same with my current firewall.
    Or maybe I misunderstood. ;)

It's not really a bug. After doing what you suggest though with LnS, it runs at about 600KB to OP's 10000KB. After re-loading this page (ie. to get LnS filtering) it goes up to 3000KB.

OP and ZA cannot compete with LnS when it comes to resource usage. Not sure about Kerio, although I doubt it's lighter than LnS.

Again , I think you ( wolfeyes ) are speaking of spyware updates . And that is a separate option . All AS programs update differently with differing sizes . As for a firewall update , these are few and far between .

Kerio 2 is about 5mb here when I use it. Not sure but LnS might be only 3-4mb. Both are certainly amoung the lightest available..

I have to reverse this advice, I must have jinxed myself. I developed problems with ZASS and tried Outpost again this time 3.0 and then 3.5 and do not have any of the issues I had seen with earlier version. I have been trouble free with Outpost since Jan 22.
