That's an easy one, FirstDefense-ISR by Raxco. My second favorite, MacroExpress. My third favorite is so far behind those two that I don't even know what my third favorite is.

1 favorite -> Cygwin, VMWare, Deep Freeze, Vim and the whole OpenBSD operating system

2 can't live without -> Cygwin, Process Guard, Sandboxie, Vim, Emacs, OpenBSD, and Firefox

3 the absolute worst programs I've ever tried -> the unholy trio of Frontpage (probably the worst software ever created by Microsoft, and that's saying something), Norton Utilities (around 1996, they trashed my system for good), and Outlook (a bloated, pathetic mess).

Favourite: Hard to choose they are all just tools to me, I pick the best one for the Job.
I would have to say google bar is the most useful for me, in particular the word highlighting.

The softwares that you can't live without: Everything thats installed, I only install whats needed to get my work done.

    On my Laptop:
    Diskeeper Pro 10
    FoxIt Reader
    Free Download Manager
    Google ToolBar
    MS Office 2003
    Visual Studio 2003
    Miranda IM
    NOD32
    SmartFTP
    SpywareBlaster
    Winrar
    Dreamweaver
    Fireworks
    Notetab light

On my Server the only different Software are:
    Peer Guardian and Emule

The worses software that you tried: Acrobat Reader (current version), crashes, uses excess ram, updates in a silly way, the single worst example of an overcomplicated tool to do a very simple job.

  18. Favorites: Foxit Reader, Tuneup Utilities,
Wouldn't be without: AdMuncher, Image For Windows

  19. Forgot worst experience: #1DVDRipper

Indeed. Acrobat Reader has become a ridiculously bloated, heavy, slow, absurd piece of trash. Foxit reader is like 20 times smaller and three times faster and does the same things Acrobat Reader does.

Other examples of software that just keep going more bloated, heavy on resources, and junky are ITunes and RealPlayer. I'll never install this trash on my computer.
