 Hay I forgot to mention that I used a bunch of Jolly Rancher Fire cinnamon candies while withdrawing from the smokes. Hay I know sugar ain't good for you, but it sure as heck has got to be better than them coffin nails. If you're worried about weight gain, drink a Slim Fast every time you would have reached for a cig. Try and distract yourself with something else if the urge strikes, believe it or not this seemingly silly thing works every time for me. I also look at this as one would look at being a recover from any other addiction, one day at a time smoke free. Also don't be to hard on yourself, so you slipped, you picked yourself up, dusted yourself off and started at day one again.

    Thanks
    Wildman

    Oh yeah...the weight gain...:cautious:

After I quit I became a lover of chocolate. Never really had the 'sweet tooth' before.

Well...after a few weeks I have gotten a womanly figure and became sweeter in general. http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/11.gif

Butt...I mean but !! Everything is almost under control now, you hear.......guys/men ?? :'(

It is/was pretty amazing. I quit on a Wednesday, and the next day I had to go to work. I would guess that 99% of the people there smoke and I was literally standing in the middle of them (all of them lit up before starting work) and it didn't bother me at all. In fact it seems like I never smoked at all. I don't even think about it. :D
You'll do just fine Rita. I know you will. :thumb: :D

My thoughts are with you Rita. I know exactly how it feels......I've given up every year for the past three! Usually about August.....and it lasts until September probably. I intend to bite the bullet again in the next month or two....
    Stick with it mate!
    Cheers,
    Brad.

    bb,
Sorry..and I don't mean to preach. Remember, I used to be the
heaviest chimney-smoking person on planet earth.

    But...why wait ??
Until you get sick ? :(

Take care of yourself, buck :-*

I had the lowest self-esteem...always thinking I'd NEVER EVER would be able to quit my "BELOVED:-*CIGGIES"

Took me many years to stop (I started really young ). After countless efforts over the years, I got a stack of videos & one of them gaming consoles. Loads of that nicotine gum and just watched, played & chewed until I got through the first 3 days... The family had been warned & knew to hide.http://forum.team-ingame.de/images/smilies/sofa.gif

Took me a year of reducing the gum & then lozenges to be completely nicotine free - but I think it's been 3yrs now. Get the mindset right - assume for you it's do-able, cos it is. :thumb:

    Good Luck Rita
