Gmail ~ for newsletters (good storage)
Yahoo ~ (had to get this when I registered with several miniature groups)
Hotmail ~ (had to get this for MSN) rarely used.

Do not download any of the above webmail

    My ISP ~ strictly family/friends
Old ISP ~ kept address for forums/general

didn't realise I had multiple choice in vote :(

OE with spam filter. Don't need the sophistication of Outlook.

My ISP "Telenet" gave me an email-address and I never had any other email-address.
If I had the knowledge at the very beginning, I would have used another email-address (hotmail) on the internet, but that's too late.
I have to live with the sins of my newbie time :'(

I had Hotmail years ago but got rid of it for privacy reasons years ago. Would never have Gmail for the same reason or Yahoo. Why does anyone need web email? I have my ISP email accounts and have three identities, each with their own address, and I also have dslr mail so what do I need with webmail that invades privacy? The only webmail I might consider again would be MyRealBox because I can get that in OE but because that is perpetually in testing it is not reliable. I do my best to get as little email as possible and no spam and webmail invites spam and advertising which I won't put up with.

I started with Hotmail and dumped that due to spam issues.
Yahoo is what I switched to and I've been happy with it.

I am now trying out Gmail and its really fast compared to others... and the coolest part was that I can directly check it using the Gmail notifier extension in my firefox browser. Less ads though, and offers "something not found on other emails".

Beside my the three or four ISPs account's e-mail services for the dial-up accounts I am using (and few other non-ISP Slovenian ones), I have two very old Yahoo and Hotmail accounts (that get lots of spam), then a Gmail, a Bluebottle and a kon-x accounts ...

GMail - I have used GMail in the past but the POP connection option was very slow or unable to retrieve emails through my email client at times. Also just checking without opening GMail via an email notifier POP Peeper would end a further retrieval of this message using an email client so I had to go to GMail's web interface to get it. This ended my GMail account.

Comcast - I reluctantly still have a couple of POP accounts with them. I have never received so much spam that is not addressed to me than this ISP. The spam filters being processed by a third party IMO are not to be relied upon too much. I am very certain I and another Comcast user have lost two days of mailing list email because of them but there is no confirmation from Comcast that there is a problem.

FastMail - I can't complain. IMAP and POP are available here and seems very reliable.

I use Yahoo Mail Plus, and very happy with it. I also have Hotmail, but seldom use it.

    gmail - for most things

yahoo - for things i don't mind getting spam from so i don't get spam at my other accounts.

dodgeit - it's a disposable account, you don't have to sign up for an account, and anyone can see your emails if they know your address because it don't use passwords, but i think you can have a password if you pay or something like that. the account is only active for 7 days i think. so it's good for registering software when they give you a freebie but make you register so they can send you spam or joining forums for a one off question you want to ask because it faster to get to the account and you won't get spam at your other accounts.

Well my plans have changed. Got an invite to Gmail and tried it out. Normally access via POP. I have since added Safe-Mail (access via POP), Lycos and 30gigs.
