spywareblster update problems and all protection gone

hi can anyone help noticed today new definitions are out so went to update as normal and all i kept getting was a unexpected error message tried twice then i got a spywareblaster has encountered a unexpected error and needs to close now the only things i am protected against is the cookies everything else has gone and when i check for updates it only says todays does anyone have any ideas what i can do .many thanks nemmisa

 

Same here. Note that no info about the error is shown.

I did a new download of 2.5.3, but still getting same result.

Rebooting has solved the problem.

 

The one updates server was down - my apologies for the issues.

Everything should be up and running now.

hi javacool sorry but still getting same message and everything still gone how can i get all the other updates back as even if i check for updates it only shows todays i don't know what to do is there any way i can get the updates manually all i am protected against is cookies everything else has disappeared any help would be much appreciated

Glad to hear it works now. Just so you know for next time:
The protection provided by SpywareBlaster will stay intact for all the items you had checked, until you choose to uncheck them and remove protection.

thank you i am so glad it is working ok now i guess there could be problems getting updates if to many people try at once also here in the united kingdom spywareblaster is being recommended in lots of computer magazines so i should imagine it is going to be very popular

Reading this thread, I think it might explain the problems I had with SpywareBlaster on the 11th. Here's what my error log had to say:

June 11, 2003 Applicatio n Error Faulting application spywareblaster.exe, version 2.5.0.3, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x234c97ca.
June 11, 2003 DrWatson The application, C:\Program Files\SpywareBlaster\spywarebl aster.exe, generated an application error The error occurred on 06/11/2003 @ 09:27:39.562 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 234C97CA ()
June 11, 2003 Applicatio n Error Faulting application spywareblaster.exe, version 2.5.0.3, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00000000.

Would problems with SWB server have caused this? Was just worried that it might be something more serious with my computer.

I did manage to update the next day and all went well.
