Unable to create Boot CD (TI9 2.293) -> System freeze

    Dear Madam/Sir,

    I have the following problem:
    I cannot create a Boot CD with Acronis TrueImage 9 (Build 2.293).
    I have Windows XP SP2 with all latest Microsoft Updates. Previously I had TI7 Personal (latest build) installed, but I had removed it completely before installing TI9. With TI7 creating the Boot Medium was no problem.
    The Boot CD Builder works fine until the start of the creation process, then there is a clock that turns around but nothing happens. The CD-Burner is not running at all and after about 1 or 2 minutes my system freezes.

    I already completely deactivated the Microsoft IMAPI CD Burning service through Start->Run->services.msc, but it doesn't work.
    I then tried to burn the Boot CD in Secure Mode (? Abgesicherter Modus) via F8 at boot. This did not work either.

    I have purchased the download version of TI9 upgrade through your website.

    I hope there is a solution to this.

    Download the latest build 2337. Uninstall version 2293 completely using Add/Remove programs and then install build 2337.

    I did as you told, however that didn't solve the problem. I still can't bring this program to create a boot CD. Somehow it seems as if it could not communicate with my cd burner because the burner isn't responding at all. Not even a light is blinking. With Nero I can burn CDs without any problems.

    Any ideas?

    Please uninstall any CD burning software temporarily and then create Acronis True Image Bootable CD.

    If that does not help, please submit a request for technical support containing the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. Please also provide the information confirming your purchase of Acronis software (order number, e-mail, where did you purchase our product, etc.)
    We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

    I performed the uninstall of my Nero Burning ROM software and then tried to burn the Boot Medium with Acronis. Unfortunately, this didn't solve my problem.
    I will use the contact support form.
