When I boot from the TI CD, get the screen and try to restore, there is no recognition of the USB external drive that has my .tib files on it. I have tried all three of my ports, looked at the BIOs for the laptop to see if I could alter a setting and get recognition with no success.

Is there a way to force TI to "see" this drive or will I have to copy my .tib onto DVDs to restore. That would sort of negate the whole elegance of using an external hdd as my restore source. BTW, the disk collects the .tib image flawlessly.

I am having the same problem with TI9 (337). TI8 (build937) on the other hand has no such problems neither does my BartPE. I am presently going through the prolonged debugging process with tech support and will post here if and when they come up with a solution.
This is obviously not a problem that every one has so be prepared for the usual "I don't have this problem" post. Cheers

If either of you has a wireless device attached (mouse or keyboard) or a usb hub, try disconnecting these and see if your problem goes away ... just a shot in the dark, "so to speak". Reconnect the usb drive directly (not via hub).

My HDD is plugged directly into any of the three USB ports on my laptop. No hub involved.

I'm not using 9/2337 ... stayed with 9/2323 ... any of you using Dell or Toshiba? Those seem to generate many of the problem reports here.

    Hello tourtelot,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please boot your computer from the Acronis True Image rescue disc and press F11 key when the selection screen appears. After you get the "Linux kernel command line" prompt, please modify it in the following way:

quiet acpi=off noapic and click on the OK button.

If the problem still persists, please create Acronis Report and Linux system information (sysinfo.txt) as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

Please create an account, then log in and submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

    Thank you.
